The detail is so realistic we have actually had the replica skull packages held up in customs.  Pieces are cast with a durable resin.  R esin has white bone pigment and anti UV inhibitor additive to prevent yellowing or fading as thee years go by. No hassle with stinky boiling and dealing with the mess. Material is durable. It can be sanded, drilled, tapped and painted. We have had customers have the pieces metalized as well.
